Consortium of Indian Industries in Malaysia
Dear Friends,
As we are nearing our first anniversary celebrations, it gives me immense pleasure at some of the new initiatives being taken by our members, namely
- The launch of our 1st Inaugural Newsletter “CIIM-Newsline”
- The launch of our fully functional website – www.ciim.com.my
These media will bring forward news and happenings from within CIIM and also give an update on the India-Malaysia bilateral progress and related issues.
To make these initiatives successful, I would sincerely urge all our member companies to participate actively and contribute by way of articles on the progress made and highlight the achievements in their respective companies. This is an excellent platform to share with the outside world the interesting happenings in your organizations.
Many interesting things have happened in CIIM since the launch last year by Mr. Kamal Nath, Union Minister, Commerce & Industry, India. We have had dialogue sessions with MIDA, HSBC, on Double Taxation Avoidance with Govt of India delegation, a Buyer-Seller meet for the Electronics sector and many more. These all have proved to be very helpful in sharing ideas, resolving some of the issues and providing great networking opportunities.
More interesting events are also lined up in this year, starting with our Anniversary Dinner. Our Guest of Honour for the Anniversary Gala Dinner on March 6, 2007 is Dato’ Seri Rafidah Aziz, Minister for International Trade & Industry, Malaysia and I would request all of you to bring along your friends and business associates to join in this special event and make it a grand success.
I would also like to thank our Patron, the High Commissioner of India in guiding CIIM and lending all the necessary support at all times.
In closing, I would like to congratulate all our members on the anniversary celebrations and especially the working group teams, who have worked tirelessly and put in exceptional efforts to see that the newsletter and the website are launched well in time.
